Terms & Conditions

 

All travel arrangements booked through this web site will be made by Holiday World Ltd. who act as a retail travel agent for all suppliers. We are fully bonded members of the Travel Trust Association, membership number R5735.

The Travel Trust Association is a trade association of travel agents, tour operators and travel organizers that operate trust accounts, in order to provide financial protection for you, the customer. Any payments you make are held in this trust account and are not released until you receive your holiday or your funds are released to another company that provides for your financial protection.

The Contract

Holiday World Ltd. trading as villafinders.com, corsicavillaholidays.com, sardiniavillaholidays.com, greecevillaholidays.com or americanskiclassics.com are agents for all airlines, tour operators,  hotels, property managment companies, ski hire suppliers, lift ticket companies, car hire companies, and all other suppliers used within the web sites. When you make a booking either directly or indirectly from the web sites you must ensure that you know what you are booking, and any travel conditions that may or may not be attached to that flight or booking, as mistakes may be expensive to rectify.

Booking conditions

Holidayworld through it's villa websites, villafinders.com, corsicavillaholidays.com and sardiniavillaholidays.com acts as a retail travel agent for various approved and bonded tour operators. If you choose to make a booking via our service your holiday contract will be bound by  your chosen operator's terms and conditions which will also form the basis of your contract with them (we will forward details of your operator’s terms and conditions if you request them).

Please note that Holiday World Ltd. acts as an agent only and we have no liability in relation to the package or for the acts or omissions of the tour operator connected with that package.  

The contract for your holiday is directly with the tour operator concerned.

Your contract with us comes into force when either you complete the payment boxes with a valid credit card, or when you give a credit card number over the telephone. You should not give a credit card number until you are conversant with all details of the booking.

Once you have made a booking we will issue a receipt for the credit card payment, and the Supplier's invoice will follow.* It is your responsibility to ensure that all details of the confirmation invoice are correct, and to inform us of any discrepancies within 10 days of receipt.

You must ensure that you are familiar with the booking conditions in your tour operator’s brochure as these form part of your contract with the tour operator.

* In the case of scheduled airline bookings, we will send a receipt for the credit card charge, and the flight tickets. All scheduled flight costs include Airline Failure Insurance.

Correct Spelling of Names and Titles

All names, titles, and initials of those travelling must be correctly given at the time of booking. All passenger names must be the same as shown on each person's passport. Changes cannot be made at a later date without extra charges being incurred, and the first named person on the booking form will be liable.

Financial Protection

In the instance, where Holiday World Ltd. is providing a holiday that is a combination of flight and accommodation sourced from separate suppliers, we are licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority and hold ATOL Number T7012. This ensures that in the event of our failure your money will be protected : if you are on holiday at the time, arrangements will be made for you to complete your holiday and return home. The flights we provide are supplied by other ATOL holders and are protected by their bonds.

Payment you make for your flight

The payments you make for your flight are held by us [in our trust account] on behalf of the ATOL holder who is supplying your flight, until the date we  pass the money to that ATOL holder. The ATOL holder supplying the flight will issue an ATOL confirmation invoice to confirm its contract with you. We will forward it to you no late than the day after it has been received.  All payments made by cheque should be made payable to 'Holiday World Ltd. Trust Account'. 

Payment

For all bookings made within 8 weeks of departure, we require full payment. For bookings made outside this period, the appropriate deposit is to be paid, you will then receive a confirmation invoice from the supplier, and the final balance payment is required no less than 8 weeks before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure that we receive the final balance. Failure to settle a final balance may be treated as a cancellation with the loss of deposits and possible cancellation charges as levied by the Principal. All payments made by cheque should be made payable to 'Holiday World Ltd. Trust Account'. 

Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted at any time in writing from the first named person on the booking form. Tour Operators', Airlines' or other Suppliers' booking conditions will be applied. When a holiday has been cancelled after full payment has been made, any discount taken must be repaid and claimed back from your insurance company. Should the reason for cancellation be covered under the terms of an insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges less any excess.

Insurance

It is a booking condition of all tour operators that you have adequate travel insurance. Such insurance will ensure that you have cover against cancellation charges, medical costs, loss of money or personal effects, and personal liability. If you require insurance cover, Holiday World Ltd. will be pleased to arrange it for you at the time of booking, but you are free to make any other arrangements. If you do not take our insurance, you will be required to either sign an indemnity form, or provide details of alternative cover. It is your responsibility to ensure that all passengers named on the booking have adequate insurance cover.

Clients are covered from the date that the insurance premium is paid, and if you do not arrange cover at the time of booking, you are not covered until such time as you arrange cover.

If you book your travel Insurance cover from this web site your cover will be immediate from that time, but you must read and confirm the following:

  1. You have not consulted a doctor or received inpatient treatment for an on-going medical condition in the last 12 months, UNLESS you have your doctor's written permission to travel.

  2. You do not have a terminal illness.

  3. You are not travelling to get medical treatment abroad.

  4. You are not expecting to give birth before you arrive home, or within eight weeks of arriving home.

  5. You have not previously been refused travel insurance.

  6. You have lived in the UK for a continuous period of at least 12 months, and are registered with a UK doctor before the insurance is issued.

  7. You are not taking a one-way trip.

If you cancel your holiday to go into hospital as an inpatient, providing you were on a waiting list for that inpatient treatment when this insurance was issued, you will NOT be covered.

Passports

All passengers must have a valid passport with al least 6 months validity left from date of entry to the destination. Children travelling on a family passport may only accompany the person in whose name the passport is made out. All children over the age of 16 now require their own passport.

Costs

All costings are subject to final confirmation as on the Supplier's confirmation invoice.

Payments by Credit Card

We do not make any charges for payments when paid by a Switch or Delta card. Payments made by Visa or MasterCard credit cards will be subject to a 2% handling fee. We do not accept any other credit or charge cards.

Flight Times

In the case of package holidays, scheduled flights, or charter seat sales only, flight timings are provisional and may be subject to change. We will inform you of major changes.

Service Charges

In addition to any charges levied by a Supplier, we will make the following charges: Amendment charges £20 per amendment.

 
The air holidays and flights shown by Holiday World Ltd. t/a sardiniavillaholidays.com are ATOL Protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL T7012. ATOL Protection extends primarilty to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdon. Click on the ATOL logo if you want to know more. For holidays where we have only provided accommodation or other ground arrangements, your holiday is protected by the Travel Trust Association.
